Diamond Ridge was brought to life by long time resident Don Beaton. With over 400 lots developed in the area, multiple commercial projects and decades of experience throughout every stage of building. Don looks to bring value to his beloved community by supporting those who live here or those who aspire to. You'll often find him working hard on the site with a smile on his face.
Don started working alongside his father at thirteen, learning excavation from the ground up. By eightteen he had his own excavation company. He then went on to become a journeyman carpenter so he could learn the trade of craftman ship in residential home construction. His impressive career spans from commercial structures to professional roping with competitions across Alberta and the United States.
Don moved to Alberta in 1998 and has lived at his ranch in Diamond Valley for nearly twenty years — surrounded by his horses, his loyal dog Sumo, and the foothills he has come to know as home. He is, above all, a family man: proud father of five daughters and a step father to a son who is by any standards as close to a son as you could get. And a neighbour to a community he has helped build ifor decades.
Those roots run deep. Don has spent years quietly supporting local trades, hiring local crews, and building relationships across and the surrounding ranching country. He builds the way he does — with care, hard-earned knowledge, and with a genuine love for the place he calls home — because for him, this isn't a project. It's a community he is part of, and one he hopes his and their neighbours will be proud of for generations.
Built with integrity; with the community in mind.
